Session 2: Dow Theory, Interaction points, and Multi timeframe analysis

A very basic building block of Technical Analysis was set in by the father of modern Technical Analysis, Charles Dow, through his “Dow Theory”.
In this session, we are going to explore the 6 major tenets of the Dow theory and learn how to apply this aspect over different market phases. Each tenet will be discussed in details.
Interaction points and zones, these are Technical studies under the basic section and will allow us to apply along with the more advanced concepts. Rules, to identify and understand the logic on interaction points along with the essence of buying and selling pressure would be a major take away.
Technical Analysis is fractal in nature and has a vivid stream of price movement recognizable in multiple time frames. How to see the symmetry and asymmetry of price movement through the time aspect will be another key basic topic that is important and will be used along with advanced topics.
A lot of current and past market examples will be used and guidelines as to how to practice will be given.

Session 3: Support Resistances, Line Studies and Volumes:

Once we have completed the major peak and trough analysis, looking at various time frames for analysis and identifying key interaction zones or levels on the price chart, it is time to dig deeper into the mechanism of the price that starts showing us entry and exit evidence.
One simple and yet misunderstood topic of support and resistances will be taught with the necessary rules. The  S and R are key joints on which the skeletal framework of the price is made. A grouping of the types of S and R and potential high probability move identification will be key.
Trendlines are the dynamic aspect of price joining points and need to be identified with rules. A lot of examples to actually understand how proper trendlines that work as a variable need to be identified. Mass psychology has linear and non-linear notions on market demand and supply. Being clear and selective with high-quality trendlines is the key.
A beginner level discussion on volumes will be a part of this session. As we escalate into advanced topics we will touch upon volumes and open interest again.

Session 4: Classical Technical Analysis Patterns: Part 1

A cornerstone of trading strategies and a very practical concept of patterns, Mohak is known for teaching this with intricacy. Formal properties of all patters will be taken into discussions. The first session will cover more properties that pertain to all technical patterns and further, we will go to each pattern.
Here students are no more beginners and have in increased analytical prowess. The examples supported will be teaching you how to read patterns in the actual market where they may have differences with the textbook style so to speak. A vast array of examples and cues on how to hack away the low probability patterns helps students to formulate guidelines in their observation and trading style.

Session 5: Classical Technical Patterns: Part 2

Here the student will be taught many different types of patterns continued from the previous sessions. An extension of the previous session, setting a clear premise of price structure and price action as a trader is a key goal. This is the 1st inflexion point of the course where Mohak gives hands-on practical examples of trades he has taken over many years based on this topic. How traders in the professional arena actually perceive patterns and the essence of mass contrarian thinking that drives the understanding to a whole new level. Guidelines on how to execute pattern based trading will be given too.

Session 6 and 7:  Japanese Candlesticks: Part 1 and Part 2

Himself trained by the best in the world, extensive reading on the subject and most importantly his years of research on this topic makes it a treat to learn Candlestick charts from him. The very reason he was encouraged to teach people by his friends was his unique understanding of candlesticks and easy ways to explain them.  All his students have mastered the topic so well that almost unconsciously that trading is easy because of this.
Basics of Candlestick charts, misconceptions about candlestick and some single candle patterns will be covered in the first session.
The second session will include double and triple candle patterns. Each of them explained from the essence and given cues on how to place oneself in trading using the power of candlesticks. Examples of vivid nature and from different time frames will support all the learning.

Session 8 and 9: Technical Indicators: Moving Averages, Bollinger Bands and RSI

As many market enthusiasts are very upbeat about indicators, they are the most misunderstood topic in technical analysis. The stalwart researchers and authors in this topic have always believed, that the indicators are only as good to use as intimately we understand them.
Indicators are not as straightforward. They have a relationship with price but not a necessarily linear relationship. It is an art to bring about reading via indicators in a way they can help us before a significant move in the market.
Mohak believes in making indicators creative to learn, observe and apply. He has been called upon by very seasoned professional traders to share knowledge and perspective. His focus is to build upon indicator understanding at 2 different levels.

  1. Indicators as a confirmation tool (with the market move)
  2. Indicators as a tool to predetermine price formation (before the market move)

It is encouraged that trades do not use one concept in isolation; also it is encouraged not to use only one indicator type. And therefore one trend indicator, one momentum indicator and one volatility indicator are focused on.
Each one fragmented into different categories across different market phases and loaded with examples.
(He has a lot of research and development going on systems trading, algorithms, and other automations like alerts and scanners. Insights on these topics will be a part of the course).

Session 10: Revision Session

It is now time to mix it all up. To see how we can put our knowledge of different concepts in a holistic setup analysis. A lot of things have already been clear by now to many students. Loaded with examples, this session will be a strong revision and assimilation of all that we have done so far. Mohak has a pure focus on stock selection and idea generation in the first part of this session.

Session 11: Trading Psychology

This part of the course has a lot to do with trading psychology and money management. Words cannot describe the depth of trading wisdom shared here. It is one of a kind experience to know psychological traits, habits, patterns and how to neutralize them or flip them around. Mohak’s believes in high-level performance, maintaining it includes a meditative, spiritual aspect of us humans as we carry our beliefs.
Like a true mentor, he has an amazing number of students who have come with a lot of baggage and have changed their destiny with markets. Revered for his writing and speeches on this topic, this session is a treat for the soul. Students press the reset and refresh button.
A cherry on the cake for students for whom this course is more than just a course, it is a transformation. The session will end with a small guided meditation.

Session 12: Derivatives: Futures and Options

To be able to trade derivatives, one needs to know the instruments very well. A strong foundational understanding of derivatives is learning that helps a trader throughout his trading career, even if he or she trades different market segments. A lot of traders abuse leverage because of the lack of understanding of option price mechanism. Learning this would be a key takeaway.
The basic idea of derivatives and its types mean. Ways in which they are used by different market participants.
Futures contracts are relatively simpler to understand. A small discussion on the same will be there. Learning and discussion on options covering option Greeks and Option calculator use.
The purpose is to prepare students as Technical traders who will be prepared more with this knowledge. No shooting in the dark with options anymore.

Session 13: Options and Futures Open Interest Analysis

Being Option enthusiast is incomplete without the knowledge of how open interest operates are a very interesting contrarian indicator.
How option open interest can be a variable and supporting factor in your overall Technical Analysis will be taught. A discussion with examples of possibilities of finding an edge with the OI data will happen.
Mohak has hands-on experience with options OI data back when it was not so popular. He has been using it in his analysis and will share his perspective of the nuts and bolts of OI reading.

Session 14 and Session 15: Elliot Wave Theory

This is one topic of Technical Analysis that stands very differently from many others. Mohak has been a successful Elliotician as many may know from his youtube videos where every now and then he explains EW analysis as a part of his Technical Tools.
Elliot Wave Theory is very detailed and is taught in this course from a beginner standpoint. All Elliot Patterns are covered with students which are a very different genre of patterns compared to the earlier ones. Basics of Fibonacci retracements and wave personalities. The important rules for identification and the guidelines for the same as included in the original works of Ralph Nelson Elliot as compiled by Robert Prechter and A.J. Frost will be included in the sessions.
